The blue in this pool is so strong, the only question is what to match it with. I would go UWb, but I think a case could be made for UB.

    Ancestral Recall
    Force Spike
    Preordain
    Looter il-kor
    Counterspell
    Arcane Denial
    Mana Drain
    Forbid
    Control Magic
    Deep Analysis
    Meloku the clouded mirror

No need for Timespiral or Aether Adept, but card drawing and counterspells are welcome.

    Mana Tithe
    Oblivion Ring
    Elspeth, Knight-Errant
    Moat
    Faith’s Fetters

The white provides answers as well as Moat, a very important piece of the puzzle.

    Solemn Simulacrum
    Masticore
    Molten-tail Masticore
    Nevinyrral’s Disk
    Maze of Ith

The artifacts provide a couple of alternate finishers in the two masticores, and more removal.

    Mind Twist

The black is easy to splash with our land base.

    Mox Emerald
    Black Lotus
    Mind Stone
    Scrubland
    Underground Sea
    Bloodstained Mire
    Verdant Catacombs
    Hallowed Fountain
    Island * 7
    Plains * 3

The strategy is to find Moat, protect Moat, then win. The finishers are Elspeth (which flies guys over our Moat), Meloku, and MT Masticore (to the face). The deck features a number of cheap counterspells (especially Force Spike/Mana Tithe) that help with our weaker agro matchups.

BUG seems like the obvious deck, and the white splash is free as well, but there are enough good UB cards that a splash is unnecessary. Shame there’s no equipment to pair with Squire.

Last Cuts: Preordain, Counterspell, Control Magic, Masticore

    Ancestral Recall
    Mana Drain
    Survival of the Fittest
    Recurring Nightmare
    Mimic Vat
    Deep Analysis
    Garruk Wildspeaker
    Time Spiral
    Mind Twist

    Looter il-kor
    Bloodghast
    Eternal Witness
    Bone Shredder
    Solemn Simulacrum
    Braids, Cabal Minion
    Molten-tail Masticore
    Indrik Stomphowler
    Meloku, the Clouded Mirror
    Kokusho, the Evening Star
    Myr Battlesphere

    Kodama’s Reach
    Mind Stone
    Mox Emerald
    Black Lotus
    Bloodstained Mire
    Verdant Catacombs
    Tropical Island
    Underground Sea
    Strip Mine
    5 Forest
    3 Swamp
    3 Island

    11 green sources
    10 black sources
    10 blue sources

    Curve
    1 s
    2 ccsss
    3 ccss
    4 cccss
    5 cc
    6 ccss

Red aggro looks possible (probably paired with black) but just has terrible mana. And much worse spells. I’d rather cast Ancestral, Drain, Rec/Sur than Hypnotic Specter, Kargan Dragonlord and Arc Lightning.

The deck above me (UWb) has just enough white sources. But this manabase is better.
